After months of preparation, I’m all ready for The Big One today – The first day of four days of protest around Westminster London, which looks to become the biggest climate protest ever!
Final rehearsal with my band – anthems for change project
It’s been an absolute joy to work with my band, who are the first musicians ever to come and work with me on the basis of us having a shared value set. This is very new for me and an incredible feeling – thank you Chris and Lisa. i’m looking forward to performing with you both on the Unite to Survive stage, outside Parliament, around noon today.
Just a few months into my year of Music in Protest, it’s quite a surprise to look back and see how quickly things have moved – from that decision to being very involved in this huge protest event this weekend. It’s amazing how quickly life can change once you make decision, a commitment or a promise. I think promises keep you, rather than you keeping them.
